BA (Hons) Public Health

The BA (Hons) Public Health is an undergraduate program for international students who want to make a change in health and wellbeing across the world. In particular, you will learn how public health systems work and the determinants of health; how diseases spread and how to prevent them; and the social, economic, and environmental influences on the health of populations. You will gain the skills to promote health, reduce inequalities, and plan and deliver public health interventions through lectures, case studies, community work, and projects.

What You Can Learn & Key Features?

The Fundamentals of Public Health : health promotion, disease prevention, and wellbeing.
Ways to Measure and Analyse Population Health:Epidemiology, data skills, and research methods.
Understanding the value of policy, law, and ethics, and how the social determinants (income, housing, education) impact health.
The skills of health communication, engaging the community, and response skills are needed to deliver interventions.
Practical experiencethrough projects, placements or real-world public health projects.
Having some background in health, science, or the social sciences will be helpful.

Entry Requirements (for International Students)

A recognised high school diploma / or equivalent qualification acceptable for UK undergraduate entrance.
If your previous educational study was not in English, you may also be required to provide evidence of good English competency (e.g., IELTS or TOEFL).
Some universities may also require a relevant personal statement/or relevant references, or relevant experience.
